This Mallorcan town is located on the east coast and, with a population of just under 2,000, is one of the smaller towns on the island.
Unfortunately, S'Illot was initially somewhat neglected as a tourist destination. S'Illot also bears the name Cala Moreia, Platja de s'Illot, which is derived from the island rocks located in S'Illot. Divided into the north and south, the northern, smaller part of S'Illot belongs to the municipality of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. The more populated southern part of the village belongs to the municipality of Manacor, as do most of the villages on the east coast of Mallorca.
The two parts of the village are separated by the Torrent de Ca n'Amer. However, there is a large bridge over the Torrent de Ca n'Amer.
The neighboring village of Sa Coma and its more than 2 km long sandy beach are within walking distance. S'Illot itself includes the well-known sandy beaches of Cala Moreya and Cala Morlanda.
The distance to the capital Palma is just under 60 kilometers.
