In the southeast of Mallorca, not far from Felanitx, lies the idyllic fishing port of Porto Colom on a large bay, in whose well-protected location Mallorca's largest natural harbor was able to develop.
Rumor has it that the seafarer Christopher Columbus was born in Portocolom, which today is home to around 3600 people.
