Location
Cala Morlanda is a small bay and a settlement named after it, located in the east of the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca. It is located in the northeastern part of the municipality of Manacor, right next to the village of S'Illot.
This place of Majorca lies on the east coast and belongs with its scarcely 2000 inhabitants to the somewhat smaller places of the island. Unfortunately, S'Illot was somewhat neglected as a tourist destination in the beginning. S'Illot also bears the name Cala Moreia, Platja de s'Illot, which is derived from the island rocks located in S'Illot. Divided into the north and the south, the northern, smaller part of S'Illot belongs to the municipality of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. The more populated part of the town in the south belongs to the municipality of Manacor, like most of the towns on the east coast of Mallorca. The two parts of the village are separated by the Torrent de Ca n'Amer. However, a large bridge extends over the Torrent de Ca n'Amer.
The distance to the capital Palma is just under 60 kilometers.
