Location Canyamel is a small vacation resort on the east coast of the Balearic island of Mallorca. It is located six kilometers south of Cala Rajada and south of Cap Vermell. Administratively, it belongs to the municipality of Capdepera.

Canyamel is surrounded on both sides by wooded hills 200 to 300 meters high.

The "Torrent de Canyamel" flows through the middle of Canyamel and divides the village into two halves: the touristy southern half with hotels and pedestrian zone, and the sophisticated northern half at Cap Vermell, where the golf course and the "Coves d'Artà" (stalactite caves) are located alongside many villas.
